replaced clutch wont go in gear
Ive just replaced the clutch on my 92 preludes, and im sure I bolted everything back on, i replaced the cvboots, and the car starts and runs fine but, there isnt any pressure on the clutch and when I Engage it i just stays engaged and I have to reach down and pull the pedal out with my hand. I cant even put it in gear, maybe I could force it in gear but I dont want to try too hard, I dont know if itll drive if i force it in gear and try to drive it but I dont wnat to do that to my prelude.
any I deas as to what is wrong with my prelude? Slave cylinder/master cylinder neeed bleeding?
thanks alot!!

Ya, what he said. If you try forcing it in gear you will fry the syncros and/or break something in the shift linkage or transmission...
try to bleed the clutch. it takes a lot.
also check your shift linkages on the top of the tranny. when you say it wont go into gear maybe something is hanging up there. have someone move the shifter while you look at it. could be as small as the cotter pin hanging up on somthing.
but the pedal is just in need of a good bleed

yeah, j00 need to bleed it.
have a friend pour brake fluid (dot3 or dot4) into the clutch resevoir
whils you pump the clutch.
Keep doing it until you don't see any bubbles then tighten the screw
and you should have pressure

actually you need to pump it w/the screw closed, then hold it down while your friend opens the valve, then tighten valve, pump, hold down, open, close...repeat till you have full pressure

Not if you use a brake bleeder bottle

next time when your bleeding it, and if there is no pressure, help the slave cylinder by taking something and prying against it to go in the position it normally does, it will be faster that way
