So last night on the way to my christmas party for work I was just about to throw her in 3rd gear and she said no to me. No grinding, just wouldn't go period. I almost got stuck on the side of the road but got her jammed in enough to pull off to the side.

Car goes in gear fine when the car is off, all gears, no problem.

When it's on it won't budge into any at all, and if i try to force it into any gear I can feel the car start to move forward a little. If I put it in a gear then start the car it just jumps forward/backward as if I let the clutch out in while in gear and killed it.

Pedal feels fine, has pressure. I was thinking TOB or clutch, but the clutch has showed me no signs whatsoever of slipping. Any ideas?

sounds like your clutch master or slave cylinder is bad. mine was a bad slave cylinder.

Alright cool. I was hoping it was something small related with the clutch system as I just replaced the tranny.

have a friend push your clutch pedal and watch to see if your shift fork is moving. If not one/both of your cylinders could be fuked (or a general fluid leak) causing pressure drop. You loosing fluid?

It was dark last night where I was so I couldnt really see **** so I'm going back today. I don't think I was losing fluid though and I have a friend about to bring me to it so I can take a peek in the light.

I can almost bet anything it's the clutch disk that's bad/warped.

Bleed the clutch hydraulic fluid first just to make sure, but based on what you described, it's the clutch.

But why would it show no sign of slipping at all. This clutch has held up great and had not a single symptom of anything negative.

It's because slipping isn't the only problem that can go wrong with a clutch.

I am speaking from experience. I had the SAME thing happen to mine.

But also check your firewall (inside the car) near your clutch pedal. If there is fluid in that area, there's also a chance of your master cylinder leaking.

I just checked mine earlier and mines leaking a bit and I sometimes experience the same symptoms you've described.

Therefore I'm going to change my master cylinder, lol.

I was about to buy another clutch kit. How much do slave or master cylinders run?

From napa through my price (I work there) the slave is like $25 and master is $50ish. So probably a bit more than that.

So yesterday I went to my car had a buddy take me there and after playing with the shifter, it popped into second...then in all otehr gears. I have been driving my car around...drove it to a friends last night and home, and still have not had a single problem yet......weird?

Don't get excited yet. Same thing happened to me.

Let's see if I can predict what happens next. I predict you will experience a situation where you won't be able to pull the car out of gear while it's running. The only way you will be able to get it out is by turning the car off.

Generally a finished release bearing can cause this. The bearing itself is easy to change, although the transmission has to come off.

Or simply the clutch setup can be faulty or broke...

Sounds to me like the pressure plate/disc is the culprit.

Have someone watch the shift fork when you depress the clutch,
if it's working the your master/slave cylinders are not the cause.
