Still going on this, found a hard to find ek9 brake/ armrest delete thingy. Likely picking up a complete 5lug swap in the next week or two I almost have my buddy talked into selling it we shall see. Also got a new daily which has slowed down my motivation.
Thanks I am stoked to have it, real lucky in general how I found it.
Made some ricer mods I had sitting around today. Bought OEM battery tie down stuff to get rid of my ghetto zip tie one I had to make to pass tech. Also installed hydraulic hood shocks since it's so worth it. Installed the CTR center console delete I had sitting around. I doubt it was ever cleaned under there in like 18-19 years it was nasty. Can't wait for new red carpet and getting the interior all black. You reall notice the difference old dark grey stuff sucks.
Have some ITR rear seats I need to swap the frames on so they bolt up but haven't had time. Mostly just waiting on my paint guy to have an opening and I'll strip it down/ take out the windows and send it off.
I thought of doing the same but didn't care for the hacking up a cluster thing. Just went ahead and bought a UKDM Civic cluster that read in MPH and has a 9K redline. Hondata has a 'check engine shift light' option anyway...
Not exactly a ground breaking update but I did need a new battery since my old one died and figured I should shave a few pounds. Nothing crazy but I plan on "trimming" up the OEM battery tray but I only expect to save maybe another lb so it's not really worth it yet.
It's winter here and although unusually warm I made an appointment to get it painted for the end of February so I am kind of just waiting on that. Should hopefully have it back mid March painted and looking pretty.
Went with the odyssey pc680 and this billet mount from JHPUSA
All in I saved about 11lbs. (didn't get a photo of the battery tray, OEM battery mount and a few other items since they weighed so little.
Little bling for the stock engine bay it all needs to get cleaned up eventually.
For now just collecting some braking parts. About to order the Wilwood front BBK made for a DX since I can't use tried and true ITR/ mini rotor on this smaller DX hubs. Should have plenty of stopping power with an 11'' rotor up front. Trying to decide if I should go two piece or not. Would love the benefits of the two piece rotors but have so much to do if I want to make some vtec club events this year.
