Really? Well that sucks guess I’ll do it in case.
Was going to install the rear rear brakes today glad I didn’t. Put the hasport transmission mount on the fk8 instead.

Got another piece of the puzzle today. Wilwood BBK for the front. 9.4" rotors to two piece 11" rotors and 4 piston calipers. Should stop really nice over and over again
Going down to Monterey/ LA at the end of the month and then the civic gets taken apart for paint. It's finally here! Reno has been unusually warm/ dry this time of year too so lucks on my side.

That looks nice.
I'm curious, where do you ( people with BBK ) buy pads and disc? In your usual shop for every customer, or do you need something bigger? I don't know how much you can understand me, sorry.

Do you mean why do I buy the larger brakes or where do I get replacement parts?
assuming replacement parts but the last time I got a Wilwood kit I just took pictures of all the part numbers and did it again this time. That way I know exactly which disk to reorder although I’ll likely get a different pad for track use.

Why would anyone ask why does someone buy larger brakes?
Yes, I meant where do you get replacement parts. And, I mean, are those some kind of special dimension pads, or there is more cars/brakes with that dimension of pads. I mean, I'm asking how hard is to get replacement pads for BBK.

Not sure about these calipers and haven’t looked into it yet. But they’re pretty standard sizes and lots of different companies like hawk and such make sizes that fit.

Re: 2000 Civic Hatchback ek9 replica/ restomod
Another small update:
Decided to go K series again. Found a buddy with a k20a2 transmission for $200, also included another almost complete a2 transmission so I'll likely sell off all the pieces and have a free transmission? Another friend has a k24a2 sitting in his garage with a RBC manifold and DC subframe so those will help get it rolling. Now to get some small upgrades for it like a 50 degree vtc and k20a2 oil pump upgrade. Gonna be the cheapest 240whp you could ever imagine.

When I broke it down I’ll have a k24 with more power, way more torque and plenty of room to go vs a maxed out b18 motor. All for the same price how can I say no?

I'm in to deep to swap maybe while I'm riding this one and it eventually is on it's last leg, I'll consider. But you got options.

Question Caoboy or Grimace you might know. Do they make the k swap setups ac compatible or is it something you have to customize? I myself before the B series swap thought about k, but was iffy because most swaps i seen never had ac. I cant do no ac in the summers of cali, especially in the inland empire... lol.

Which direction are you going? Full swap including trailing arms? I found a company called Scarebird that I'm interested in. They make conversion kits that retain the stock trailing arm, just need their kit, si e-brake cable, rotors, pads, and calipers.

I put pictures up on the bottom of the last page I think. It’s the fast brakes kit someone sold on here for cheap. Rebuilt ITR calipers and I want to say 11” rotors but that sounds big. Has the custom bracket made and bolts up.

Re: 2000 Civic Hatchback ek9 replica/ restomod
Ah okay, I must have missed that. I'm fairly certain that kit can be used with the the scarebird brackets, although Scarebird only mention using with "Integra" pieces, not ITR, so I'm not 100% sure.

Well last photo of it purple before tear down.
Got pretty far today. Still need to rip out the rear interior panels and get off the rear moldings. Then just the antenna, rear bumper and tail lights and I’m pretty much done. Gonna pressure wash it and drop it off Sunday!!
Oh and dismantle the door panels, windows, window regulator, upper door moldings etc etc. yea I’ve got my work cut out tomorrow.

Kind of sucks that you're going to repaint an original DAP since it's kind of a rare color. Not as rare as an original EBP doe

It’s not DAP though it’s even more rare. 2000 Canadian dx special edition it’s the plumb pearl color that came on the US sedan only. Look it up Canadian only. Hard to tell but it’s this color.
