theres no way it was 0. Im talking same boost levels, he had a number for torque at same boost levels, so im assuming he at least tested at same boost levels. Vtec heads typically rev higher so there has to be a change postive or negative at the same boost level I doubt HP was exactly the same

The VTEC setup had about 5 lbs of creep in it to 20 lbs. I think if it had remained stable like the LS head did the torque would have fallen off up top to about match the LS at 8500 rpm so peak power would have been about the same. Conditions were not favorable though. Had some issues with the fuel pump.

I dont think the LS would have had nearly as much of change with spool with the new turbo just because the 404 cams dont come into power until 5000 no matter what, so the car wasnt breathing down low. The Low cam of VTEC is allowing efficiency where the race cammed LS could not.

creep? but both dyno runs were at 15 psi yes? or was it creeping past 15 psi? this was on GSR cams?

also faster spool on bigger turbo good work, both turbos seem pretty large for what your making...havent actually gone through your entire thread mostly cuz your build has way diff goals then me. I assume your turning up the booost to hit 600 HP

Those aren't even the final graphs
Both ran around 30+ psi and hit 600whp
Itr cams, plus there was a typo or something on the graph he posted

(ITR Cams) The Vtec setup hit 15 psi 750 rpm sooner and made more torque but it ended up around 19-20 lbs by 8500rpm

Yeah the LS made 602/453 on 30lbs. I've street tuned the VTEC setup to that number and based on acceleration logs and injector duty cycle, its probably 625 ish. My pump went out on the dyno when I started to turn up the boost unfortunately.

lolwut?

We're having a conversation, and I happened to know some of the answers to his questions about lightningteg's build.

Also, just because he has/had selective reading doesn't mean I hate him

Yes, they fit B springs..used Ferrea locks for B series tho, I didn't measure installed height with stock retainers and locks etc., substituting only the retainers-everything was new (Ferrea 6000, Rocket SL light springs, Ferrea locks, K20 retainers p/n ...A01) but I assume nothing changes just swapping retainers. There are two K20 retainers, the dished ones give diff. inst. height. A01 are flat.
My spring installed height came up slightly shorter than stock 1.320, but I am using GSr cams and honestly my measurements could be off slightly. Using calipers. Valve installed heights were ok.
So not gonna cut the head just to gain a few thou. I just gonna hope it's ok since no big cams.

Im doing same thing, (boosting stock C4) and looking at same turbo

What boost will it take to make 300hp?

Ive found a guy running this Garrett and he hit 340 something at 9psi on a stock engine, except a Skunk 2 intake, on a cast mani, which I think is an InlinePro.
