Default VAFC problems

anyone that can help, or share they're set-up on fuel for a N/A motor??

i put my buddies VAFC in his car, and the damn thing won't let it go full throttle. I am familiar w/ the VAFC, i have one on my boosted civic, so i'm not too sure about N/A. I didn't make any corrections to the fuel and left it all at 0%, yes i changed it to 4 cylinder w/ the slanted upright arrow...i just don't understand...if i use paritial throttle it'll rev up fine, if i use 1/2 or more throttle, it'll flood and all most cut out and just die...then i made some adjustments to make up for for the flooding, and it still does it....anyone that can help, or share they're set-up on fuel for a N/A motor

Sorry, but if you don't get a reply in this forum in just a couple of hours, it probably means that nobody has any idea what the answer is. Most of the people here race under rules that are really strict and don't allow bolt-on controller modifications of any kind, so they are not going to be familiar with your situation...

It sounds like it runs OK until you hit the High Throttle Threshold, perhaps set at 50%.

Try setting the High Throttle threshhold to 99% and the Low Throttle Threshhold to 98%. This will keep the VAFC on it's low throttle correction settings (which are apparently doing no harm) most of the time.

That might make the car driveable while you figure out the problem with the high throttle corrections.

It causes problems even with everything set to 0 (i.e. no correction, ever)?

Did you put it through the TPS Sensor self-learning cycle so the VAFC learns what voltages your friend's TPS Sensor puts out at 0% and 100% throttle?

Good luck.

Don't count yourself too wrong...

The only class I fit into is Street Mod. I think every other "official" race category has one rule or another that makes my car illegal.

"All the goodies..." covers quite a few years of wasted hobby money poured into gadgets.

Now I wish I had a more civilized street car and a trailered full out race car.
