Have you tried an oversized radiator and water wetter?

Have you upgraded your OEM radiator to a larger unit? Also what kind of screen have you got in front for protection of rocks and dirt buildup?

you could pull out the thermostat & put in a restrictor plate, oversized rad & water wetter as previuosly suggested and higher pressure rad cap

I havent tried watter wetter diden't think it worked from what i have heard i am thinkin about getting a rad from a 94 integra with AC its a double core. Any other similar rad that will work? I have also cut the center out of the themostat same issue fan hooked up to run constant, i have expanded metal in front to keep dirt and rocks from hittin the rad.

all 91 integras had dual core rads, ifs its a sotck 91 rad from 1991 it might be time to replace. it might have deposits built up inside, you gan get aluminum ones off ebay for under $200

I have had problems with several race cars overheating. My cure has been to fabricate ducting that guides the air into the radiator, and does not let it travel around and above the radiator.

I cannot stress how effective of a cure this was. So much of the air entering the front of the car is allowed to flow around the radiator in stock form that it not only by-passes the radiator,,, it also creates high pressure behind the radiator,,therby reducing flow even more. Even when I went to a large aftermarket radiator, the cooling gaines were modest when compaired to proper ducting.

An additional gain is downforce created since you are limiting the amount of air flooding the engine bay. The air that enters is used much more efficiently.

I did this mod on my CRX, and just completed it on my H2 civic ( 2 months ago ). I ran the car at Buttonwillow in near 107 degree weather. The car never ran over 190 degrees .

I will try to post some pics of the civic set up. On the CRX it was just some carefully made aluminum ducting. For the civic I made a mold and pulled a fiberglass part off of it.

If you're moving faster than 50 MPH, I don't think a different fan will help much.

Have you tried a new T-stat?

Have you done a leakdown test (i.e. headgasket)?

There's a number of bigger radiators out there, look on Ebay.

Was useing a fully rebuilt engine untill that went and are now useing an engine from a donor car and having the same troubles so i doubt its anything to do with the thermostat or the head gasket.

I think i am goin with dual fans up front and fabbing up a cowl hood with a sho fan mounted in it to pull the heat out from the engine bay, as well as a double core rad along with channeling all air into the rad.
Think this will work.

It really ought to work. Most B-series motors just aren't overheating on higher speed tracks (higher speed than a dirt track) so some more air should help!

What gear are you using on the oval, 3rd? I have no idea how fast these are.

[edit, damn, you're in Canada and overheating? You're doing something wrong. Maybe Canadian Integras got half-rads or something?]

Raced today with the new settup no dual core rad tho, cowl hood with the fan pulling the air from the engine bay as well as two fans pulling air in through the front of the car worked great won all three races.
