Default ELD Delete and Master kill swtich

This one is beyond my mechanical and electrical skills so here goes... right now on am working on a wiring harness for a b16 and it doesn't have an ELD. Does it need to? If not can all the wires to the voltage regulator be eliminated? If not which ones need to run to the alternator? Maybe just the IG wire and the FR wire?

Attached is how i currently have it laid out

There is an electrical thread.

There are also threads on kill switch wiring. gave you the first one, the second you'll have to locate.... I have to go run errands.

I don't think mine has one anymore since my harness was severely lightened.

the alternator will still need power to the field, and you can use the warning light output if you want

Maybe a noob question, but what is ELD?

Here I've create a electrical schedule for installing a kill switch, for people without the electrical knowledge: hondacommunity.nl ? Toon onderwerp - How to: Kill Switch aansluiten

Yeah i ran though that tread but didn't see anything on the eld.

I was going off the mfg's disconnect switch instructions for wiring. I am trying to kill the alternator but i am not sure which wire would do that in the harness would do that. I cannot find a post that describes that either.

Found this diagram for a non ELD honda. It looks to be the same as i have it. From my wiring schematic, wouldn't the IG wire provide power to the field? I keep looking over it and it seems right... Does the L wire also need power or can it be left un-wired?

From reading the schematic "IG" is ignition or switched power so yes. "L" on the voltage regulator provides a ground signal to the charge light in the dash, the Integrated control unit and the ABS control unit. If you aren't utilizing those then yes you can omit that connection. Good luck.

if you want the charge light, it's simple, one side of the light is always positive if the key is on, the output of the warning light wire is positive if the alternator is charging, and negative if it's not, depending on how much OEM wiring you still have in the car, that wire also indicates the status if the engine is running or not for specific systems
