ECU's for Improved Touring
I’m waiting for the 2002 ITCS (IT rules) to come out so I can see the final wording but it looks like ECU’s will be opened up for Improved Touring next year. I’m looking at options… does anyone have experience with the Zdyne SuperECU?
I’ve spoken with Zdyne and they acknowledge that it’s aimed primarily at the turbo/nitrous/straight-line crowd but he still felt we’d find horsepower using one if we spent enough time on the dyno tweaking.
Has anyone used one?

Never used a z-dyne, but I bet with any aftermarket ECU that will let you bump/retard timing a couple degrees, and fuel % up/down, you'll be able to find 3-5 hp, especially up top. You won't need anything particularly complicated. Just spend a few hours on a load bearing dyno and I bet you'll show results across the board.

Check http://www.improvedtouring.com - there was discussion there of an ECU that does not use an open loop mode - the sensors can read fast enough to use them at all rpm and load ranges. Don't remember any details though.
May want to check out the Hondata unit www.hondata.com. Some people on the Type R board have used it with success.
