Default Camera mount with HPDE Instructor

I'm doing my first HPDEs this summer, and want to record them. Do you think the instructors will have a problem if I do a setup like in this picture?

Thanks.
Seems like the general consensus is 'probably not'

Anyone know of another method of hooking up a camcorder besise a rollcage? I saw someone say something about suction cups?

I've read that thread and a others, but what mount WOULD be acceptable for use on the track. I know mounting to the rollbar is the best, but I do not have one..yet. Is a c-pillar bar and mount exceptable (eg Stable Energies bar)?? Thoughts from those who instruct??

this will mount to your headrest rod, or to a c-pillar bar. it is the best out, all the racing sites sell this mount for 100$+. it is 50$ here, i use it, it rules...

C-pillar bar or find a way to securely mount it to the rear deck area maybe.

[edit] nevermind... I guess this isn't an option in a hatchback.

I might allow it - I would have to see it up close. I allowed a similar mount a few weeks ago - it differed in that it attached to the headrest posts with U-clamps instead of drilled holes (which might give it a tighter fit, depending on how well the holes are drilled). I was also tied down, as should be required with most groups.

I've seen cameras mounted on tripods in the back seat area before. Of course, they're tied down very securely.

It would attach to the seatbelt anchor points like below (only C-pillar instead of B). If I was to mount it to the B pillar it would go through my head!. And no I would not mount a harness this way. Only for a camera!!!

ah I see. thanks. I mis-interpreted, I thought the camera would mount directly to the c-pillars!
