What are you trying to coat???
Also i will post pics of a climate control i did. I had to disasseble the face and buttons. Prep is 90%......spraying paint is only 10%
If you don't scuff and degrease paint will never stick for long! </TD></TR></TABLE>
basically the door panels and center console. how exactly would i go about prepping?? since the paint comes off really easy, iam just gonna take all the paint off and redo it from scratch. but i wanna make sure i do it right this time and not just waste paint again.
should rubbing alcohol and clean cloth do it?

Well considering the interior was probably armoralled at one time you need to remove the grease with something. Alcohol works fine.
Now that the surface is clean and free from grease and dirt you need to give the paint something to stick too. Get yourself a scuff pad. Sold at any autobody store, any pep boys or autozone that i know of. You need to scuff your panels so the paint adheres. The scuff pad does not do damage to the panel!
If you don't want to prep stick to the plastic paint made by KRYLON FUSION. Thats a no prep paint that stick excellent to plastics. I used them before and never flaked! But they have a flat black and gloss black which is not the same as SEM color.

krylon
I've heard multiple horror stories about the Krylon paint never curing right and getting sticky in the summer.... I would stick with the duplicolor or the (overpriced) sems....

Either it was not hardened yet or you did not prep correctly!

Re: (DatDBisNaSty)
Just ordered my SEM stuff. Looks like the BMW silver grey and Acura charcoal are gonna be the closest matches. Not perfect, but since everything is getting done it shouldn't be a problem...

Re: (JDMDC2BOY12)
PPG all the way! They can even get the exact color code you want.
I have been thinking and debating for a very long time now of doing a tan interior in my next crx project. I've seen a pic once of a jdm factory tan interior and it is just strait up sexy!

JDM CRX. From my understanding those are factory jdm crx leather seats as well specific to that model with that interior.
I can find the carpet and I get get the interior dye but I don't know what model honda to get tan leather seats from.
