has anyone sprayed their ek interior black? i was thinking about doing it, i've removed the dash countless times so i'm sure i'll do that to keep it nice. but yea, pics of a painted black ek interior would be nice.

I think someone tried their cloth seats but it eventually wore off.

I would be very curious how a steering wheel would hold up. I like the black ek interior!

I think if you clean it off good with alcohol and then spray it it will be fine.....
I did a leather shift boot with the stuff and it had to flex every which way when you shifted gears, it held up great.... Ive also done seats before, it gives the fabric a rough texture, so if you can pick up a set of black seats for $200 or less I would probably recommend getting cheap seats instead of painting them....
The carpet on the other hand I would do, because you dont have to sit on the carpet so who cares if its texture is stiffer, and it works great on the carpet, one time I bought a car that had the filthiest stained carpet anyone has ever seen, no amount of cleaning could ever restore it, it was beyond repair, well I just sprayed right over the stains and when I was done it looked like brand new carpet....
I'll be a lifelong customer of the Duplicolor vinyl & fabric color, thats what I used... 5 bucks a can and it works great I dont know why you would pay twice as much for the sems and go out of your way to find it when the Duplicolor **** works fine and they have it at pep boys autozone walmart, etc....

hope that helps

I held off on the wheel cuz I wasn't sure how it was going to hold up. I was going to get an after market or a black oem one in the future.

I would make sure its not just any old purple degreaser, but a true prep product like wax & grease remover, if you dont happen to have that around the house clean it real good with rubbing alcohol instead.... Then youre good to go...

What are you trying to coat???

Also i will post pics of a climate control i did. I had to disasseble the face and buttons. Prep is 90%......spraying paint is only 10%
If you don't scuff and degrease paint will never stick for long!

Anybody figure out which color is a match for gray (type F) '94 civic interiors?

Namely excel charcoal and shimmer gray....
