Im ordering mine right now at eastwoodco.com and there running a deal on the black dye mentioned and thats what I bought.

Wonder how this would do over top of vinyl paint? I already started painting one door panel and center consol and it has a rough feel to it and will be hard to clean and what not. Im going to give this a shot. Is everyone completely removing there dash to do this?

an automotive paint store carries it. if you order it online you end up paying shipping charges.

*colours*
SEM brand call your automotive paint supplies store instead of driving.

I use the krylon Fusion in an aerosol can. It works great on all the hard plastics. I painted all the rear plastics on my crx two years ago and they still look great.

Dude just go to an upholstery shop and ask if they have some black (or whatever color your looking for) upholstery and buy you a can of aerosol adhesive and just redo the armrest. I got the fabric for $15 a yard. Most upholstery shops can match the fabric pattern and color.

The Acura charcoal is the closest I was able to find. Its barely off, and if you plan on doing the whole interior you won't even notice. For the light grey above the wiindow line and the headliner, the BMW Silver Grey is and EXACT match.

Not exactly. The SEM product is a dye, not a paint. It does still require surface prep to properly color the plastics though. The paint store will explain all of this to you, I also added a step of wiping everything down with lacquer thinner as well to remove all the old grime that exists on a 14 yr old car...

The dulpilcolor is garbage. And that fabric is a pattern, not a solid color, so dying in any form is not going to renew that look. I sort of suggest Speedsin's answer but would say that unless you have some decent sewing skills, just have an upholstery shop do that armrest for you. Its a small piece (that does require asome stitching) and a professionally done job will look much better and last much longer here.

Hey, does anyone know what matches the ef civic/crx's black? I tried duplicolor and its shiny as hell and looks like poopy, the honda plastic seems kind of satin.... I only have the interior to swap into my car, so I don't have an interior code.

What color SEM? Anyone try SEM midnight black? Trying to find a match to my Nissan's charcoal interior.
