It would probably require more coats but I dont see why it would be an issue if you followed the preparation steps.

My headliner came out perfectly. What year is your car? The BMW silver gray was almost a dead on match for the stock 92-95 shimmer gray, I actually didn't do a few pieces including the visors and you can't tell the difference at all.

Best I could find, from goin back together. I've since replaced the trim around the sunroof and along the back edge, and the seatbelts are from a '98 so theydon't match perfectly....
But just to give you an idea, the dome light bezel and the pull tab on the sunroof visor were not dyed, just cleaned up with some laquer thiner, and you can not tell the difference....

Awesome. I was looking at the first picture wondering where the finished product was, then I went back and read the second post. I will have to try this sometime.

Re: (CaliforniaK)
Without question. I tried the Duplicolor, the texture sucked, color match was noit even possible with the limited selection of colors, and it started peeling before the car ever even left the garage

My interior has come out awesome mixing parts from the cl, the sem dye and wrapping other parts in black microsuede...when the adhesion promoter was wet was when I dyed the parts, came out perfect.

What is that; a lil' Ranger?
It still looks hella clean... Like.. Seems a little glossy and a little "fake", but its still a nice black. Regardless... its black.

If you spray over the scratches, they'll still show up. This is not a filler type paint/dye. It still reveals the texture on the surface so if yours is all scratched to hell, I don't know what will fix it unless you try sanding the scratches down and blend them as best you can before you use the SEM paint.
Here's a few pics of my parts I painted:

Re: (97SS)
thats what i was thinking that there needs to be some kind of prep work done to peices that are scratched up. I am trying to find if anyone makes something that will adhere to plastic or atleast maybe minimize some of the blemishes.

I bought about 4 cans and it was sufficient for the entire interior of my 94 accord minus the headliner which im certain will probably add another can to your total.
