Eclipse GSX stalls when release valve recirc. tube disconnected
Alright so I'm curious. As many of you know the earlier gen Honda's don't use a MAF sensor to adjust the fuel mapping. For this reasoning I've never really looked into the operation or function of them (minus the basic understanding of why they are relevant).
I was working on a friend of mine's 99 GSX which is a cluster-**** of wires, hoses, and just pure ghetto-ness which I'm slowly trying to repair. For ***** and giggles we removed the recirculation piping for the factory release valve (BOV). After doing this the car would want to stall out after any gas was given to it.
Why is this? Obviously reinstalled the pipe and called it good, but what does the system have to do with the idle let alone the basic operation of the vehicle?
