I just bared my 91 ls with a B18C JDM motor and all thy look for was all smoging stuf to be in the right place and working. Than thy do the smog. If it pass thy put a white sticker on the car. I did this a month back. Now if you put a older motor in a new car its illegal. And if you put a B20 in a civic are N E car for that matter, its a truck motor and thy will not pass. But like my car, 91 integra ls with a new JDM B18C passed. LS VTEC B20 VTEC or a k20 will not pass at all EX for the k20 you need to swap out every thing. All k20 smog part, gas lines, gas pump and tank. Than you can pass.

BUMP!! I heard You can not place a h22 into a civic. The motor HAS to be available in that model somewhere in the world, the civic never came w/ a h22. You can however place it into an accord or Acura cl.
Does this mean you're stuck with a b16a2 as your only option for a swap if you have a civic???? That BLOWS!!!

Umm no cause I have a gsr in my civic and it was never offered in that chasis. U can put a h22 in a civic because that engine was offered in the U.S.
