replacing hid bulb
one of my HID bulbs went out on my headlights. Its a 92 prelude jdm headlights. I was wondering how do i replace it? do i have to remove the headlights? what size bulbs do i have to get? i didnt install the lights they were on the car when i bought them. THANKS.
Your low beam bulb is the one closet to your fenders on each side. Turn them counter clock wise about 1/4 of a turn and the bulb will pull directly out. Now there are usually two wires coming out of an HID bulb that plug into the ballast, just unplug those two wires. As for replacement bulbs, it depends on what kit you have as there are kits that have square connectors and round connectors.

I paid $80 for a pair of brand new Philips 4100K bulbs.
But then again I have OE D2S bulbs which are easy to replace. Who knows where to find re-based HID bulbs that will work with your ballast connection.
Yet another drawback to junk HID kits.
