h4h temporary replacement options

Default h4h temporary replacement options

i was looking to see if i could use a 9006 in place of an h4h. the civics take a 9006 i believe they are the same style plug and mounting but im noit sure i need an answer fast or im going to just buy a bunch of different kinds. i just cant spare the money to get it wrong that many times

h4h is dual filament with three prongs.
9006 is single filament with two prongs.

how about h4?? i know the sizings are different but the base looks the same. dual filament 3 prong...

H4 should work. are you looking for performance or just to throw some bulbs in there and call it a day?

i really just do not need to get pulled over and i live in schenectady NY so if anyone reading is from there you know its rediculous a 2 mile drive you will see 5-10 cops....not even kidding. i will be ordering some raybrig h4h's for a little while then i want 6000k h4h hid kit from camp.

definitely do not work. The focal point won't be anything near the same so you'll get sub-par results.

There is a huge difference in the H4 and H4H bulbs.

wouldn't it be even worst for throwing an hid kit into a jdm housing since the cut off is the opposite of usdm cars?

I don't think anything comes close to a H4H bulb, including H7 which is probably the closest in dimension.

You know, I take that back; H7 is way too stubby. H4 is the closest option, but I don't think it will fit.
