Bulb equivalents?
I was wondering if anyone knew the bulb equivalencies.
For example all wedge bulbs are pretty much the same, and 9006 bulbs are also labled HB4.
I am looking at a car that has an H8 foglight, and I want to do a retrofit that hopefully retains the factory harness. I have several projector fogs and I'm hoping H8 is the same as a different type of bulb.
Anyone know?

A H8 is kinda weird. It's very similar to an H11 bulb, but both of these are fairly obscure (there are aftermarket companies that make them though).
The closest looking "normal" bulb it looks like is the 800 family 880, 881, 893.
To get it to fit, you amy have to do some filing, and even then, I am not sure the wattages are equivalent.

Just add two spade connectors to the ballasts, thin them up abit and done deal.
H7,h8,h9,h11 are 51-55w and have only two prongs and are 9006 look alike but the two prongs in the bulb are closer and 9006/9005 won't fit
880 family have two prongs as well. However, the wattage is half of the others. If you're planning on a retrofit, add two spade connectors and hook them up to your h8 female plug, tape it over and leave them like that.
If you're looking for a relay harness, just do what i always do. I add two spade connectors and it becomes universal since it can now be hooked up to ANY single-filament female plug
