wiring concerns for b16 swap
im about to rip the d16y8 (SOHC VTEC) out of my civic and im gonna be replacing it with a b16 from a JDM 95 civic no wiring harness.
do i need to run any more wires if i use the sohc vtec wiring harness? also do i need b16 drive shafts??

if the car is OBD2 then using a OBD1 motor is more complicated. reason is those motors don't have the crank angle sensor and also the dist plugs are different and also the alt plug is different. what you might or most likely have to do is swap out oil pumps with a 99-si style one or any dohc vtec obd2 style with the crank angle sensor. also if you want to keep it simple get a OBD2 dohc vtec dist for correct plug type and then same goes with the alt. then at this point use the ex engine harness and use a 96-97 delsol dohc vtec ecu or get a jumper to run the 99-si ecu or if you want get a OBD2a to OBD1 jumper and run a chipped p28 or other OBD1 ecus.
