Default Whats is a good price for an H22a install into Civic?

What is a good price to get a H22a installed into a 95 Civic Dx hatch? My installer quoted me at $1050, I feel like that is too much....any thoughts?

i dont know man. Too me that seem a little high. Does that include aftermarket mounts, axles, and intermediate shaft too? Because labor isnt that much more compare to a b-series swap. Only work added would be cutting the floor board to accomodate the shifter linkage.

And depending on the mount you use, you'll either trim it off the transmission side mount or complete cut it off. And the wiring takes almost the same amount of time for any dohc vtec series. Just adding and lengthen it. Depending on your model year civic that should be about it. And also if you wanted to add the egr components too.

No, that is the labor only...I have already purchased all the required install parts that I know of.
