What to look for in an engine swap?
Going to check a gsr swap either t/m or monday and was wondering what should I look for? Like is there anything I should check to see if anything is wrong? Said it has about 90k miles and had no codes before it was pulled. Forgot what year though.

I'll probably just take the valve cover off then. Is there anything else?
Not doubting the seller just a precaution

That's thing why I'm asking, it's already been pulled out. If it was still in the car I could so the usuall compression and leak down tests.

take a jump pack to the engine, obviously remove the plugs,
hook the red up to the post on the starter, and the negative anywhere metal on the engine. if you have a remote start switch, run that from the red to the flat spade terminal on the starter. push the button, crank away.
