Default Oil coming out of valve cover breather?

I was going over my motor the other day and I noticed some oil in my head and injector directly below my breather. Is this b/c of the pcv system? Could i run a catch can off of it and then just put a breather on the other end? Can this really hurt anything.

usually oil coming out of the breather means you have blowby........do a compression check........

Ok, am i looking at the reason for a catch can? If so, has the consensus of FI people agreed on where it goes/setup?

Jdm b18c 10.6:1 comp, same as usdm ITR. Does anybody have anything to say bad about running a hose between the valve cover and the intake pre-turbo w/ a catch can in between?

hehe i have the same problem with my breather, my compression is real good as well. I don't burn that much oil ethier; about half a quart every 800 miles. I just grew to ignore it, my car runs like a champ besides the breather thing. Just always check your oil every week or so to make sure. I run 20w50 and 9psi on a built motor btw. mine actually slightly smokes from the breather filter as well, the smoke is very faint but it smokes nevertheless.

Well, i think after abusing my eyes and reading some archived posts, im going to run an open system. Leaving the valve cover breather and pulling out my pcv and dumping it to the ground, and capping off the intake mani. IS there anybody other than greenpeace who would object to this?

just don't do it at the track, don't think anyone would appreciate oil out there.
