Default voltage too high

first off i'll tell you what kind of car we're dealing with here. its a 93 civic CX with a JDM b16 engine, running a p30 ecu.

this is confusing me. on the diagnostic tester at honda i have the TPS, ECT, and IAT reading voltage too high. i check the voltage of the TPS and its reading 5 volts at idle, when it should be 0.5 volts at idle and gradually build to about 4.5-5 volts at WOT. so i asked a question about this and was told to adjust the TPS. i move the TPS a little and there is no change. i moved it all the way left and right and there was no change in voltage. so what could be the problem. i have two TPS and they both did the same. i also checked the voltage from the alternator and it was putting out 14.5 just like it should. so thats not the problem. anybody that can help me?

i am tired of limp mode! b16 with no VTEC sucks

are you sure your volt meter is reading in volts and not milli volts? are you sure you aren't checking the power on the tps? you need to test the voltage of the one in the middle(i think). the power one will read 5 volts when its on regardless of WOT or idle.

problem solved, i had an open on d22 at the ecu plugs. fixed that and then had a VSS code. i looked and saw that one of the pins inside of the sensor had broken off, so i went to honda bought a new sensor, came home put it in. and hit vtec for the first time in my car. i must say that anyone who does not own a helms should definitely invest in one. it answers all the questions if you know where to look. thanks for the help B_Cruz. you said a few things to get the wheels turning in my head so i could solve this problem.

oh yeah......................VTEC ownz j/k
