Default verry strange no start after swapping stock motor back in

Here is the scenario swapping the ls motor back into my 1992 LS. got it all back in and together all the grounds are hooked up. it wants to start it will spit once or so and die. sometimes it will actually run for a second then die. i defiantly have good spark because i sprayed brake clean into the TB and ran good. Here is where it gets tricky. i took of the #1 injector to test it i had the test light on it and turned the key and vroommm it ran on 3 cylinders fine. go to plug the injector back in and it died. did this a few times. and it only works if i unplug the no 1 injector harness. it sounds as if the car is not getting fuel altho i don't have Any electrical diagrams at the shop with me they are all at school. the ecu is ok swaped it out with another. cam timing is dead on. i do have the wrong fuel pressure regulator on it it is off a 1997 gsr is there a difference between the two?
