Default fully built ls? or lsvtec? then want to add turbo in furture which is better?

I plan on building an ls or ls/vtec. I have parts to do both but i want to add a turbo in the future but still be able to drive the built engine without a turbo for the next year or so...Which set-up is better and which tranny would you suggest? Also what kind of compression do i want to stick around for a turbo. Wont a 8:5:1 be to sluggish for n/a for a year? dont i want to stay in the 9:2:1 area? any help would be great..thanks

9:5 comp then go with LS-V with Gsr tranny...

And you are done...

Gsr head is fine....P72 or a p28

After you get the turbo get the Hondata S200...

Or the AEM....

I'm a big fan of the B16 head over the GSR head. And you better off with the LSVTEC over the LS. Make sure you build the bottom end right the first time of you'll be building your engine all over again. Where at in PA are you from??

You'll make more power and spend more money on an LSVTEC w/ turbo.

However, if you know what your doing, you could make enough power with both either way.

Dont' complicate things, KISS. LS-T.

People who spin bearings are the people who built them themselves and had no idea what they were doing except for following directions in a shitty haynes manual.
