USDM vs. JDM B18C?!
I know that the JDM B18C has slightly more power than the USDM B18C1, but is there any other advantages to having a USDM or having a JDM engine? When I buy my motor off of Hmotorsonline.com soon, which should I choose to go into my 96 HB?

no advantage of having a USDM motor. I would opt for the JDM version since it has a higher compression unless you are going boost.

What would be the diff if you did boost? I have a jdm B18c and im planning on getting a peakboost kit

Because the higher compression you have, the less boost you can run safely. This is assuming you'll be running pump gas. Race fuel is another matter entirely...lol. Lower compression = more boost.

if you really want to lower the CR on a JDM B18C without having to change the pistons out, just run a B16A or Type-R head along with a thicker headgasket..

If your going to use n20, go for the jdm.
11.1 is not high compression in the world of nitrous.
I've run nitrous on 2 different JDM itr motors with absolutely no problems at all. The first motor was 2 years ago. Ran a dry 75 shot on it for a year, parted out the car, sold the motor and the kit to my brother who still runs nitrous on it.
I also use nitrous on my current jdm itr motor, with mugen headgasket(thinner than stock) and JUN 3 cams.
Besides, steve at HMO doesnt usually have the b18c5 in stock anyway. He always has the jdm b18c's though.
