I cant figure out the problem, thought it was my tire or a loose lugnut but its not that since i swap the right side front and rear tire. and still keeps making this thumping sound..
now what it sounds like.. imagine you have 2 loose lugnuts, and as you pick up speed your wheel starts to wobble but you get that rapid thumping sound cuz the wheels is going back and forth.

the weird thing about it is that it only happens from 2nd to 5th gear, 1st gear is not affected at all!! and as soon as i press in the clutch the noise goes away. but there is no grinding of the gears or anything, the noise gets louder when i press the gas all the way down, even doh my speed doesnt increase fast i still get the noise louder than normal.

now this is a 94 H22A JDM 5spd tranny which a Quaife LSD.

if you guys can let me know before i do something stupid!

btw- its not the motor cuz i can sit there and rev and she sounds fine.

is the thump a metallic sound ? Could be that your clutch is fucked up some how. Tranny problems usually make a grinding sound.

I have the same problem cant find out what the problem is though. When you get on your brakes is this when the problem happens - when i brake it feels mushy at first but it still works.

I'm thinking either you've got a loose spring bouncing around in your clutch or you're about to lose a connecting rod bearing.

here's the update... its not in the tranny ...
seems it only happens when i pick up enuff speed.. and only when im accelerating.. so when i let off the gas there is no noise or anything, my shifts are good, no grinding or mettalic sounds its just a suttle thump, as if there was a bump in my tire.. ya know.. but i think its my cv joint in my axle or something axle related.

I had my CV Boot replaced - and then it started making the stoopid noise. Might wanna check around there. I have been to lazy/busy to check it out myself.
