run a wire from your distributor(blue wire) to the distributor plug on the drivers side strut tower, its a plug that has a cap over it, should make your tach work then. I think the engine harness you are using doesnt send the signal to the cluster.

Thanks for the response.... do ou kno the color of the wire in that harness?? RIght now the dizzy plugs blue wire is pinned to nothing on the harness that clips to it
I just dontknow what wire to jump it to?
I looked at the pinout diagram for a p72 and there is nothing that says rpm or tach signal or anything like that

either pin the car harness with a wire that mates to that blue wire or connect a wire directly to the blue wire on the dizzy and then run that wire to the one on the drivers side shock tower. Its a little plug that probably has a cap on it by itself. Hook it to that and your tach in your cluster should work.

See i understand that i have to run a wire from the blue dizzy wire but you are refering to "the one" on the shock tower... there are no wires by themselves, there are like 4 plugs all with multiple wires in them... would you know the color of the wire on the shock tower that im looking for??

its usually a wire with a cap over it by itself. Usualy some blue electrical tape around it or something. I found this on google images, see the one with the blue tape.
