A friend of mine has a civic coupe where we swapped in a jdm b81c. It started right up the first couple of times but now it wont run no matter what we do. Ive never seen a motor that will run one second then not start at all the next. It will turn over and eveything so its not a problem with the battery or anything that simple. I checked the cel and I THINK its throwing a code 10. The check engine light just flashes very slowly repetedly, so it must be a 1 or 10 or something of the sort. Do you think this is a fuel problem or what? I checked the code and it was related to air intake temp....wtf? That could not be the reason!

Any advice would help.....thanks

OK if it flashes alot really slow then each blink counts as 1.Long flashes count as 10.So if it is flashing a bunch of times it coulnt be 10 cause a 10 would be one long flash.Count them and get back to us.

its a slow, long flash....over and over. My lude threw a code the other day that was 63 or something but I can see the difference between the 2 flash speeds.

this code just flashes once, waits for a while, flashes again. its like the code is restarting evertime so it must be a 10 right?

does anybody not have any guess about whats going on with this engine?

A slow long flash is 10

When it flashes once,waits for awhile and starts again,its starting a new set of codes.That means your probably have one or more errors.You really need to concentrate if you want to fix your car so try to distinguish what the codes are.
