oh yea, I always find it wasier to start with the tranny mount and move clockwise around the engine bay bolting up the mounts, if you get the tranny mount tight first, you can pivot the motor somewhat, making the others easier to line up.
and a torque wrench, torquing all bolts to spec prevents bolt heads breaking loose and thread destruction.
heli-coils can be your best friend, but you dont want them to be.

An engine hoist would be ideal. But try this without it...put the car on jackstands (all 4 corners) as high as you can get the car safely, figure out how to drop the engine to the ground safely, the jack isn't a bad idea but be careful. This is where friends come in. Have them lift up the front end (take the front bumper off, gives more room to grab), should make it easier that the car is up off the group already and then pull the motor out the side of the car.
