Default Swap Question ?

Hey,
I have a 93 civic vx hatch with a obd1 B18C1 swap, I want to swap the engine Into a 97 Ex coupe. The coupe had a Ls swap and now the owner is pulling the engine and the wiring harness out and selling the shell for cheap. My question is would I be able to pull my engine and wiring harness out and just throw it into the Coupe and be done? or will I have to rework the wiring harness to work on a obd2 Civic?

My second question is will a 97 civic ex coupe suspension fit on a 93 cx hatchback. I ask that because the civic is coming with tein flex's and the owner wants to put that on his hatchback but if it doesn't work he is leaving them on the car and im not sure if they will interchange.

I am hoping they wont though

The engine will bolt right up n/p, but you will have to get a conversion harness.

I dont understand why you would take the gsr motor out of the hatch. the vx hach is the lightest hatch honda made... why bother?

The Reason im switching to the coupe is just because i am kinda tired of the hatch back and ready for a change, yeah i know thats the lightest model but i really dont care anymore. The coupe im getting for 600 bucks and it comes with rota circuit 8's, and plus i think im too tall for the hatch lol.

Thats cool I guess. Yeah if you're going from OBD1 to OBD2 you'll need a conversion harness. Good luck

Hmm I wanted to keep the car obd1, I thought I would just be able to pull the motor and the wiring harness and stick it in the new car and be done?

You Have to use the harnest from the 97 and rewire your distributor from 2 plugs to 1 plug because they are different. And if you want to leave it obd1, just buy a pigey back harness and your good to go.
