after day one i must say its going very well but heres the new one
the ball joint on the LCA i think. what is the best way to remove this, i have a ball joint splitter but as i have never done this before i am unsure if i am doing it right. should i just pound the hell out of the tool untill it pops off? any help would be appreciated.

A big *** hammer will do the work, but watch out for what are you hitting though. A good hit to the LCA will do the work

I couldn't get mine...so I said F it, and dropped the LCA instead...worked just fine in removing the axles.

go to summit racing I think.. there is a ball joint seperator that is cool as hell.. instead of banging the **** out of it all you do is slide the tool into the joint and then tighten down a bolt that will cause a piece of metal to push the bolt up and out.... It's really great.. makes the banging effect less excruciating.

hey the best way to split the ball joint is DONT USE THE SPLITTER YOU WILLMOST LIKELY RUIN THE BALL JOINT!! so take a hammer and hit the right side of the arm that the fork bolts to, hit that a few times with a hammer the ball joint will loosen up and you can just pull it right out!! it works great!

use a breaker bar and "pry" between the balljoint and spindle
