swap info needed into ek
I have been looking for a 99-2000 swap for my civic hatchback. I seem to find alot of 96-98 motors. I know that my car is obd2B, and the 96-98 motors are obd2A. Is it possible to run a 96-98 motor in a 2000 without being a pain in the *** to wire ? I hear that the ecu plugs are differnt than the obd2B .so if I run a 98 gsr motor in my car with with a obd2A ecu will this work ?and what about going to an obd1 ecu ?

Re: swap info needed into ek (Silverhatch)
it really shouldn't matter what year motor u go with, obd2a or b , since you wont be using the gsr harness. you'll end up using your stock harness modified, or an ex harness, you might even be able to use an SI harness. on my 97 ek, i just used a 97 ex harness and everything plugged up except for the csk sensor, but i used an obd2-obd1 jumper harness so i didnt have to worry about that. good luck

...that's all correct, except I don't suggest using a 99-00 Si coupe engine harness in a 96-98 civic, its almost compatible but not quite, and to make it compatible its a pain in the *** (not worth making compatible). Stick with a 96-98 civic engine harness for the easiest route (EX), they're compatible with 99-00 obd2 electronic/igntion parts & injectors.
