Ham'ed Hatch

why is my shifter so sloppy?? the cars an 87 Civic, and it's a HASport linkage with a y1 b16 tranny and a dc sports short shifter. it can make circular motions in nuetral and has inches of side to side play when in gear it's bolted in tight i know that, so is it just a shitty-made shift linkage?? or is it a shitty tranny?? anybody got any ideas...

are you sure you put the shifter bushing in right ??

yeah i'm sure it's in right. it felt the same with the stock shifter in there too.
