Is a shift linkage off a Jdm motor the same as a usdm one? Im just wondering if I need to get a new usdm shift linkage when swapping a jdm motor into my car... also would i need to get usdm axles.. or the jdm axles are the same i have heard 2 different versions of the story I just want to find out the correct answer to prepare for my swap... and save unnecessary cost. Thanks alot for the help!

The shift linkage of JDM car and USDM are the same, but they're made with different material. USDM one is black colored and the JDM one is bronze. And for the axle they're the same, as along as they're out from the same car

Yea Speedy's rite, the axles are the same except for JDM 98+ cars which have a 36mm shaft and spindle nut where as the USDM **** has stayed 32mm.

Thanks for the info! will the 36mm jdm shaft and spindle fit? or would u need jdm type r hubs? also does anyone know how to remove the immobilzer off the 00 usdm type r ecu's ?
