look for a pink/blue wire that is on the driver's side harness, if you find that, a wire goes from there to A17, I am pretty sure. I have never done it by running wires from the unit and not the harness. I know that the pink/blue should work and not even need a ground, but someone else might want to edit this

What ECU are you using? OBD I or II?

if you are running a obd1 ecu, just swap out the a17 and a20 pins at the plug. just switch them.

Yes I am running an OBD1 ECU. and are you sure I have to swich A17 to A20 and A20 to A17. By the way I don't have to give it a 12V power do I?

This is what I did. Ran the one wire from the shock tower back to A17.

How do you know if your secondaries are opening or not? Would it trigger a CEL if it's not working?

I'm not sure about the cel issue but by looking at the IAB aka secondaires(under the intake manifold, when you rev the engine to about 5500 rpm you should see the IAB rotate meaning it works or not rotating it's not working hence it will tell you if it's working or not.

I did all that; and then all of the sudden I had a problem with my check engine light. It came on and the car doesn't rev past 3500. So Some one told me it's the distributer since it's OBD2 and my ECU is OBD1
any suggestions please

I just swapped a JDM B18C into my 2000 Civic Si... You need to run one wire directly to the P72 ecu... pin A17. I can't remember the color right now. The other wire needs a 12v connection.

I ran a wire directly to the ecu from the secondaries harness and it still wont work. Just out of boredom i hooked the wire to the vtec wire and ran it for a while, it worked great until i got a cel for vtec sel. voltage owell, i sould like to fix this soon.

One wire goes to the ecu, and the other goes to a 12 volt connection. When you connect it to the 12 volt connection it will remain open. Personally I don't know if this is good or bad.

All that is just too complicated. Just take out the center butterfly piece, and buy shorter bolts and it will eliminate your entire problem. Mine works just fine. Just my .02

So I made my car slower. Do explain yourself. Not being sarcastic at all, but I didnt think it would at all hurt the performance. Let me know.
