Since last week when i got my car out of the shop, i was running the stock cx cluster, with no tachometer. But yesterday, i got my civic si eh3 gauge cluster, and my rpm wasnt working ( https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=558456 ) , we figured it that my blue wire from distributor was not in right pin, we had to wire one up. Ok, so with that the redline on my guage cluster is 7200rpm

My car revs to redline, and to maybe 7300rpm, that is like the fuel cut off.

Funny thing is, its like acting in accordance to the redline on my cluster.. What could be the problem?

EDIT: Fixed the CEL, was knock sensor..

ok, i'm confused.
You say you're using a CX engine harness, if i'm not mistaken, then in your list at the bottom there, you say you have a "96 gsr / ex hybrid? wiring harness" ...

are you sure you know which harness is being used on your engine ?
