Default Just put an SI cluster in my car, RPM gauge no workie :(

I just got the EH3 guage cluster put in since my cx cluster did not have a tach.
Well, i pluged it up, and everything worked except the RPM guage ( the whole reason i swapped out clusters )

What could be the problem? i double checked to see if i had any unplugged wire, but everything checked out.

thats really odd.....my stuff has always been plug and play. the car should've been prewired for a tach.

Check to make sure the blue wire from the dist goes all the way to the gauge cluster and goes to the right pinout.

make sure all the little screws on the back of the clusters are on tight...those are your grounds...

you should be fine.. where did you get the cluster from,it might be that the cluster is defective because the harness for the clusters are all the same

did you get this figured out? On OBDII it seems that they did not use the tach test wire for tach OBDI. it you make sure the blue wire on the distributor connects back into the car harness you should be cool.

you will need to run 1 wire from distributor to driverside shock tower harness for the rpm's to work just coz you are running obd2 wiring harness
