best place to buy engine?
i would like to do an engine swap with 97 civic to a JDM b18c or USDM b18c5 where's the best place to purchase this engine and is the emissions from both engines legal in the US?

I will attempt to answer your question about emissions.
Im in NJ also, and I have an obd1 engine in an obd2 car. Basically I have a 94 jdm h22 in a 99 civic. Where I went nobody said anything about the swap, but I did fail for emission really bad, due to the fact that I didnt have my EGR system hooked up. If you put a good cat on, and with stock headers and a good cat back you have a good chance at passing emissions. I wouldn't put my life on it that you will but you might pass emission.
