Default Putting a PCV system on a B20/VTEC...

Okay, from what I understand, I'm gonna have to do the following:

1. Buy a catch can
2. Tap the back of the block and install a nipple
3. Run hose from nipple to catch can
4. Run another hose from catch can to intake manifold

My questions are, is there any other way to do this than tapping the block? I know that on CRV's the hoses run from the valve cover...Could I just tap my valve cover and put a nipple on it, run a hose from there to the catch can, and run from there to the intake manifold?

Also, what exactly is a PCV valve? Do I need to get one to use if I use a catch can?

Thanks in advance!

check out this kit from theoldone.com. I have used it and it seems to work OK.
