plenty problems with this swap.. please help if you can
k heres the deal...
i have an OBD1 JDM B16 swapping into my 99 civic 4 door.
motor dropped in fine with stock mounts, but i dont know what half shaft or axles to use..
so far calling race shops around my house they say use these:
del sol half shaft with 94 and up gsr axles or
99-00 civic si half shaft and 99-00 civic si axles
anyone know which ones i need to be using?
and if anyone knows where i can get the half shaft, cuz i cant find that anywhere.
thanks HT.

i think you can use any half-shaft/axle combo...as long as it's from a hydraulic tranny.

i got some half shaft from a friend and it doesnt even bolt up to my b16 block, kinda weird maybe it was from a car with cable trans.
so as long as its from a hydro car then it will fit:
like a 94 and up gsr half shaft with 99-00 civic si axles?
even if the half shaft is from a b18c1 will it matter since its a different block? let me know cuz i gotta get my car running already.
thanks for the quick reply man.

You can use any half shaft from any b-series engine as long as its hydro. They all bolt on. The only thing is that you have to match up the half shaft with the axle. For example, a gsr half shaft will require a gsr axle, and a ls half shaft will require a ls axle. 99-00 SI is the same as ls. Also make sure its from a manual tranny. The automatic half shaft will fit but you have to grind down the block to be able to bolt it on, which i don't recommend.
