Please Help.......H22 integra hybrid problem......
Alright...well I just got my integra back out on the road last weekend with the JDM H22A in it. So I decided to go to the track.. I went up..did a small burn out...got ready to go....light turned green....and I didn't go anywhere....
When I put it in any gear....it doesn't go anywhere. I checked all the tranny cables...they are all connected. Also I have a new ACT clutch on it...hopefully it wouldn't be that...the clutch pedal feels normal anyway. It only makes a strange sound when I put it into 5th gear now...not a grinding...but something maybe rubbing? I don't know...but I am just so &$#* pissed right now...i'm about to sell this damn thing.....someone please help me out here.....i've waited since november to drive this damn thing and only had it out on the road for less than a week....this sucks...i'm going to bed...

Re: Please Help.......H22 integra hybrid problem...... (misledyouth)
I'm about to go out there and start pulling stuff off. I'm just hoping its not the tranny....pulling a h22 tranny off on an integra is going to be a bitch.. Actually i'm hoping its just the axles or something like that.
I don't know if this matters....but when I was driving to the track...they have a shitty driveway to get there...and I hit a big pot hole with my drivers side tire...it still drove after that...but do you think that could of added to what happened? Where should I look on the axle to tell if it broke...will it be obvious?
Also...if its something inside the tranny...gears or what not....where can I buy new parts? Are the USDM and JDM h22a trannys the same?

Re: Please Help.......H22 integra hybrid problem...... (Interlude)
oh yeah...also...i thought this was rather strange and i'd mention....when I put it in gear....the speedometer goes up to about 15-20mph...in any gear pretty much except reverse....and of course i'm not moving...but its still showing up. How would I know if the clutch is messed up? How do i check for clutch engagement while the tranny is on the car?
edit: the speedometer goes up if i give it more gas...just like it would as if i was driving it....so it seems like the gears and **** work right? its just not transfering it to the wheels...so this could be a problem with what? Axles look fine to me...again...i need someone to tell me what i should look for when looking for a broken axle...
ALSO.....say the passengers side axle wasn't in all the way...would this cause the drivers side not to work either??
need some help

i popped my driverside axle after racing hard, could be the same thing on your car too. Revs but doesn't move. also, was their tranny fluid leaking after? another sign of axles being broken or popped out of place.

100$ its an axle
i had the same problem right after my swap came out of my driveway, put it in first, pop. hit the gas, spedo went up didnt move. it was the drivers side axle outer joint. start the car, put it in first and look at your axle. its spinning ill bet u money.

alright...i think the passengers side axle popped out a little bit. I have it jacked up and the drivers side is connected...but when i put it in gear....it doesn't move either. So after I get the passengers side put back in....the other side will work too right? Are they dependent of each other since I don't have a LSD?

OT
Sorry to ask this but: When you swapped the H22 into the Teg, did you have room to retain the A/C and power steering? Is there still room left over for a full turbo system? I was just wondering how cramped that engine bay is...that's all...
I was thinking about the same swap...but I still might use the good old B18cX series...not sure
Hope you get that fixed bud...all these guys seem to think it's the axles..it probably is.
EDIT: Nevermind..I see that it was an axle problem..I saw your other thread...

I kept powersteering....you have to change the main power steering hose over to a prelude one...and I had to get a 3 groove belt vs a stock 4 groove so it wouldn't rub the frame....I couldn't keep a/c because the compressor pulley was rubbing up against the frame rail...I think some company makes a custom a/c compressor mount for this swap...either that or I was thinking about a smaller pulley. Also...you would have to get custom a/c lines put in. Yes...there is lots of room for a turbo....supercharger...not so sure on that one. I'm probably going with a custom turbo set up later this summer.
ps...i used the hasport mount kit....worked out good for me
for axles...i'm pissed about that right now....raxles....i don't know about them....but my axle broke in 2 days...
