Default Pin Removal

https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=905835

Based on these topics that I have found in the archives, I'm still unable to remove these pins. What are the tricks that can help w/ removing these pins?

Is it for an obd1 or obd2 wiring harness?

oh ok.. obd1 is a little harder... u have to flip up the back part of the clip first. its like a lock sort of.. then the rest applies. u just have to mess with it the right way. it will come out.

or leave the pins there, and resolder the wires.

Luckily, guy (big VW nut) at work helped me out as he was familiar w/ these type of connectors.

Without pictures, the only thing that I can say is that there is a row in the middle of the connector. Look at the slots that do not have pins. You will notice the square tab. Use the safety pin to push this gray square tab away from the pin. Once you do this, the pin slid out real easily.

Stupid me. I was trying to push the big square part of the pin and not the tab on the connector.
