P30 Intake Manifolds
So i made and impulse buy and purchased a p30 intake manifold. Afterward i knoticed that it was obdII. I am currently assembling an ls-vtec, hoping that i would be able to use this IM i purchased it, and car that im trying to put this in is a 95 ej2.
So my question, is there any way to use this obdII manifold on an obdI set up? Just by looking at the differences it doesnt look feasable but i thought i would ask anyways.
Thanks,
Dom

I don't see why you couldn't use it. I modified mine since mine came out of a 99-00 si. I drilled and tapped for the iat sensor. obd2 p30's have that sensor in the intake tube. Everything else is the same and I don't see why you couldn't do the same.

Re: P30 Intake Manifolds
Heee what you find so different between the two...
All the runners are same place,
bolts patern also
water pass is at the same spot on any Si-R head/IM
I put them on non-Vtec head so as Ivan just told you...
Get it on.

Re: P30 Intake Manifolds
Thanks for the responses. I was going drill and tap for the IAT, since i would not really have any loss if i mess up. But i knoticed that it was missing the smaller water neck on the flange closest to the dizzy, that my ls intake mani has that connects to the throtle body. Enough of this ranting, thanks again guys. Im gonna do work to make this work! Ill try and do a write up as i go.
Time to get it on...
