Just installed a second gen b16 in my 92 hatch, when i start the motor wit the p30 it bogs it with alot of fuel and dies, now if i run the p06 it runs smooth, not sure about the rpm's dont' have a tach in it yet its a dx, i know i should run a p28 chipped but y does the p30 do that? Has anybody else had this problem? Vtec isn't hooked up yet i did hook up the knock senor to the p30...

have you opened it to make sure it isnt chipped?
i have had 2-3 ecus come from places that import and they are already chipped by th previous owner.
are you getting any check engine lights as well?

 

Well the thing is i don't know whenever i start it up it dies out right away so i really cant' tell then after that it floods the engine and i can't start it again so i just left the po6 in it this time and yea it throwing a code, i never thought i would get a p30 chipped from hmotor but it mgiht be true has anybody ran the p30 on this type of swap and had it work properly.. thanks

 

so dont start i tup jsut turn it to the on position and see what the codes are showing.

 

I put back the p30 now since the fuel pump is fixed and it runs great wit the p30 thanks for the help...
