Default obd2b to obd2a distributor (searched)

Im doing a JDM b16A (obd2a) swap into a 00 Acura EL (canadian version of 4dr civic ex with d16y8 which is obd2b) and I used the el's engine harness on the b16. I had to rewire it to work with the ecu, but when I went to plug it into the distributor I found out the plugs are different.

I searched and this post said just to color match the wires and youl have one blue wire left over for a tach reading. but there are 2 wires that dont match up. left over is a black with white stripe on the obd2b plug and a really thick black with yellow stripe and that blue wire on the obd2a plug. also im going to be using the obd2a ecu with the b16, will this tach reading throw me a code?

heres is that post - https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1340983

and here are the layouts for the distributor plugs.

please let me know asap.

After an extensive search I found this diagram

But I also read that by doing this the tach wont work. how do I wire up the tach? Do i have to wire this blue (engine speed output) to the ecu?
