Default OBD2b to OBD1 problem

What exactly do I need to do to mate a OBD2b (99 Si) ECU with my current OBD1 (95 Civic Si) system???
Are there any conversion kits for this? Who makes them?

hasport should have what your looking for too. Just talk to Joe. He has a lot of knowledge. He also does well with ecu's. 150 for a basic reprogram with v-tec
x-over and with rev limit or without. I would use an obd-I ecu like a P28 that way you dont have to add a wire for KS. You can use your OBD-II harness as well. It will clip right into your cabin harness which is on the shock tower on passenger side. There will only be 3 clips on the interior side and your OBD-II harness will have 4. Just dont plug in the 4th one. ITs the only one that doesnt match any of the 3 clips.

Why? Just use a USDM P30 or P28 chipped ecu and call it a day.

That's exactly what I'm going to do. I'm going to be using a P30 ECU, I'm looking to buy one right now.

How would I know if it's USDM or JDM???

If you look at your current ecu, note the size of it (regardless of which one it is) The P30-jdm will be much smaller is size (2/3) They refer to it as a small box.

If you use your P28 you wouldnt need to add a KS wire. If you use a P30 you will have to add one. Do you know how to do that?
check out this website.

I don't know how to add the wire for the knock sensor. Does anyone have instructions for it. Pictures would definately help.

if its 99 si swap complete with wiring hanress then simply plug it into your prexisting harness. this way you can just run the wires from the shock towers.

to add a wire simply use one of the pins which will not be necessary or hit a junkyard get a plug from any oBDI car and use those for adding VTEC/knock and so on.
