Obd1 dizzy, obd1 alternator (or just swap plugs for both), obd1 ECU

Will a p28 be ok? I know I should probably get it chipped asap but will it run ok as long as I dont stomp on it?

i know skunk2 makes the harness, but it is supposedly for an obd2 car with an obd1 swap, i'm going the other direction. Can i just use this in the same fassion, just backwards?

I'm in the process of this same swap OBD2 GSR motor (98) into an OBD1 car (93 Cx).

From what I've read all you need is an OBD1 ECU and to run vtec (in my case)

I have an obd2 LS that is going in an obd1 civic and an obd2 99 b16a2 that is going in an si hatch.

I have a dist. off a 2000 gsr and the plug is very different, actually, there is only one plug compared to 2. I don't know if re-wiring the dist with obd1 plugs is a good ideal. The alternator is just signal and current, that wouldn't be a big deal.

Most the sensors seem the same, i'd hate to start the swap and get stuck for a week... there is even a sensor on the top of the manifold for the obd2 LS that isn't on an obd1. I would think it's some kinda map sensor, but i'm not sure.... i could just take it off and plug it.

The other thing is, i'm thinkin i am going to have to ditch the obd2 p74 and just get an obd2 ecu....i think...do u?

I have the same problem but I didn't get a engine wiring harness with my swap so i'm tryin to find a harness that will fit my motor (99 Ls) and my car (93 Dx). If anyone knows what I can use let me know. Thanks

i was kind of in your shoes a while back. i put an obd2 b18b into my obd1 95 integra gsr.

i was going to rewire the obd2 distrib like you were...but its not worth it. trust me i've had them both completely apart. just buy an obd1 distrib.

the sensor on top of the intake mani is the obd2 evap sensor. obd1 had the same evap sensor but it is on the firewall. i just plugged it up on the obd2 intake mani and used the obd1 evap on the firewall.

get an obd1 ecu as well. trust me. make it easier on yourself.

there's also a place on back of the obd2 intake mani for a vacuum line. the obd1 intake mani doesn't have it..so u have to get vacuum from somewhere else. i just T'd off the vacuum from the fpr.

Correct. If you have a OBD2 complete engine and harness (Integra) all you need it an OBD1 P72 ECU. I have a complete 99 B18C1 in my 92 VX, did the swap myself and all I used was the OBD1 P72 ECU.
There is no sense wasting $ on the OBD1 components (distr, inj, etc.) when you can work with the OBD2 parts by simply using the right engine harness or rewiring the plugs if you're using the stock harness.

I actually have that gsr obd2 dist. around, could i just use that with the ls??

and I have the entire front car harness to this 96 ls integra.... should i keep that gsr dist. in it and use the factory 96 harness and plug it into the car? (if it plugs in...) or should I get rid of the 4 miles of harness and use the stock obd1 wiring harness in the car and wire up any little thing that i need....AND get the obd1 ls dist.???

ha, there ya go smarty pants
