Default OBD2 GSR to 93 Dx

Hey HT,

I'm having an issue with my GSR and was wondering if you guys could help out. I have searched and people seem to have GSR issues related to mine but not exactly the same so I'm starting a thread . As the title states I have a 2000 GSR swap in my 93 Civic DX hatch. The problem I'm having only happens while driving . When I step on the throttle once that car starts to move it sounds like it's sputtering and the throttle feels very hesitant. For example if I go WOT it feels as though I'm only getting half the power or even less as if the throttle is open all the way of the engine isn't delivering enough fuel. When I start and let the car idle it runs like normal and I can even rev it all the way with no issue. But when I go to drive it it just doesn't feel right I have to baby the throttle just for it to move. My motor is fully stock and is open header at the moment. I thought it was the p30 ecu I had that was making it run weird so I went a got a p28 chipped with a GSR basemap, no luck there. I had a shop check my timing and compression and they said everything was good across all cylinders and recommend I get another engine harness. Before I go out and invest in this I wanna get some other opinions because I've been putting hundreds into this car and I'm not really getting anywhere. Just replaced the dizzy cap and rotor along with spark plugs and wires and got no better results and I'm stuck. Also this stared a few days ago as I only drove the car back and forth for about four days before this started happening.

diagnose tps and map sensors, make sure your o2 sensor is working properly and no exhaust leaks

I will have a shop check my TPS and map sensors , I'm currently running open header so I may be missing the second o2 sensor.

No need for the second 02 if it's OBD1. Is the check engine light on? When you say they checked timing was that ignition or cam timing? Both?

Check engine light is on but I can't find anyone to scan an OBD1 car in my area (north NJ). As for the timing , I'm not exactly sure knowing these people they may have done both because they're pretty thorough but I'll double check on that.

Update: I jumped the CEL and it's showing a code 10 (IAT sensor) cause I'm getting one solid blink every four seconds. Now I've read IAT sensors could mess up your AFR and such, however I'm not sure if that will resolve my misfiring issue. What do you guys think ? I'm thinking of replacing the distributor to see if that helps. If not I may have to either get that harness or a new motor.
